When my daughter turned 9 years old she suffered from paralyzing anxiety and obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Through the help of a functional medicine doctor, we were able to miraculously heal her from all of her symptoms by eliminating gluten from her diet. I’ve also been able to keep my Autoimmune diseases under control through eliminating food groups. When I discovered the Whole30 program it was the last piece of the puzzle for me. Not only did I feel amazing that month, but my dependency on sugar was broken. I now have a different relationship with food and I want to honor my body by feeding it well. Becoming a Whole30 Certified Coach was the natural next step so that I could share my passion and knowledge with others.  I've done 4 rounds of Whole30 and have studied the program extensively.  I'm grateful to have the ear and guidance of Melissa Hartwig, our program creator who leads the Coaches.  I'm especially tuned in to the Peri and Post Menopause challenges women our age are facing.

What is Whole30?

The Whole30 is a 30 Day health reset where select food groups are eliminated.

Certain food groups (like sugar, grains, dairy and legumes) could be having a negative impact on your health and fitness without you even realizing it. Are your energy levels inconsistent or non-existent? Do you have aches and pains that can’t be explained by over-use or injury? Are you having a hard time losing weight no matter how hard you try? Do you have some sort of condition (like skin issues, digestive ailments, seasonal allergies or fertility issues) that medication hasn’t helped? These symptoms may be directly related to the foods you eat—even the “healthy” stuff.

So how do you know if (and how) these foods are affecting you? Strip them from your diet completely. Cut out all the psychologically unhealthy, hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups for a full 30 days. Let your body heal and recover from whatever effects those foods may be causing. Push the “reset” button with your metabolism, systemic inflammation, and the downstream effects of the food choices you’ve been making.
